baru balik drpd Ar-Raudhah Equine Center for event ; Edaran Endurance Classic2010 yang mana mempunyai trek yg sgt mencabar jiwa dan raga uolls.

SYLVA xcomplete 80km. so bad. she was voted out in the vet gate after came back from 60km! and the doctors claimed she's lame. well, its their call. they said she's lame, so lame lah. xpayah nak banyak komplen. nak komplen banyak2 jadi doktor sendirik lah!

erkkk..sorry2. ter'emo' plak. tapi agak kaciwa la...logbook SYLVA belum pernah ada long scratch & tertulis LAMENESS di dalamnya lagi. *xboleh terima kenyataan kah?*

eh tak..tak...saya ngan hubby okay jer...redha jer...moreover ahe's already qualified for Sultan's Cup 2010.

inilah...barisan kita..menuju briefing.

so xder nak kecoh2 sbb xqulified ker, ape ker...okeh la tu, she can be considered as great horse to complete 60km and that is @ Ar - Raudhah!! Penunggang endurance sejati tahu apa cabarannya di trek Ar - Raudhah. dahla start jam 6.30 pg. She did 60km in the hot burning sunlight and hilly, rocky, uneven ground and a very taxing trail. *describe trail pun dah separuh en3*

but all the horses who completed well dekat tempat ni, memang bagus. sangat bagus.

treknya sangat mencabar. dahla tengah hari, panas. as what i'd seen, the situation at the cooling area every time a horse arrive was so hectic. tahu tak kenapa? sebab, dunno how, dunno why the water supply came off!! and there was no ICE supply also!! lori ais sampai lambat sangat! ramai gila bising masa tu.

bayangkan! the horses have been through challenging trail for 4 hours riding in the sun ; to complete 35km loop, came back to find out there is no water in the tank to cool them down!

naseb baik ada tasik just right behind the cooling area. so me & the boys went to take water from the lake, isikan dalam black big tank tu. we all actually was panicked! at that time, there was a lot of 40km category participants arrived after 20km loop, but only 4 of 80km category finished the 35km loop. and SYLVA was the fourth to approach finishing line. and all top 4 horses struggling to recover their heart rate. no water, no ICE!! then what?

Sylva came in with her heart bit counted 92 bpm. the allowed bit is 64. after 10 mins cooling her down, her heart bit still 70 something. and sometimes jumped to 80 something. dah risau gila masa tu! 10mins already passed by. another 10 mins left(20mins for cooling). and then i saw an ICE lorry came down, I quickly went to get couple bags of ICE. put it in the tank, and start pouring the cold water on Sylva. after 2mis, check heart rate again and it already 60 bpm. thank god. ALhamdulillah. then we all know she needed to be cool down with cold water then the heart rate will recover fast!

SYLVA was in the 3rd place when she was voted out by 3 vet. agak mengecewakan. bukan? terlepas 3000K. hu hu. xapa lah. xada rezeki nak buat macamana...

and her gang, Mr. Sethi from TMKN Endurance finished at 7th placing wayyyyy behind her. hik hik. and her another gang from K7 team did'nt pass the vet check coz of his heart bit did not recover within the time given...

and I, my face ended up to be hangus gila! with SYRIAN scraf on, the burn line splitted on my forehead just right. kelakar bila tengok.

it has been 5 long years before i actually got this opportunity again. it's pathethic, i know. i'm pathethic. been following my hubby to competition venues through out the years back, i hide my feeling about it.

i mean, when u hv a passion towards the ride, u will know how i feel. it's like your ability to do things were pulled of you right away. it's like, you've been there, as a supporters (and some crewing stuff) and watches people ride arrogantly, like saying "hey you, don't ride in competition anymore? what a jerk!"...owh, that's only my immature monologue which tends to appear everytime i see riders at endurance ride. (or people called it envy?)

but now, i can sshhhuuuuuhhhh the negative feelings becoz i am an endurance rider again! after two years resting (no, i'm not resting....it just i did'nt own any four-legs to participate with!)

my heart and soul have a home once more time. living the life without entering any endurance competition for about 2 years, make me feel my heart and soul are homeless. they are homeless becoz their status is unknown, i keep telling people i ride in endurance races but you know, most people judge you by your performance, experience, skills and most importantly, achievements. but if you are never seen participating in any competition, how would they see all that?how?

stakat riding kat rumah aje, ramailah. but not anymore. now, i can be proud with the tittle I've been holding for long time....i'm a passionate endurance rider!!

Edaran Endurance Classic is one of the most popular annual endurance competition in Malaysia. this ride has a very high value for me as i completed my first 80km at this event, back in 5 years ago, took place in Ar-Raudhah Equine Center, Kuang, Selangor.

after a period that long, i'm quite excited with my participation which lead me to smile even in my sleep, let all the up time alone. and makes my asben thinks i'm persuading him to get me a pair of new heels. or adidas watch. or new shawl. or new serial novels like Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic.

but i'm smiling becoz finally, after two years had'nt participate and 5 years after my first ride (2005 - 2010), i am actually able to ride again. AGAIN. something i never expect to happens in the nearest time. (thinking gonna start next year with my crazy-bay-striped faces-huge feet x-race ; who thrown me off while walking in the paddock!! and then my asben, too!!)

and that, with Sylva. the most beautiful ageing dark-haired toes-out thoroughbred-polo I've been ridden since last year, (when my asben did'nt). and who turned out to be the best endurance horse he ever created ever ; with the clean record of the rides through-out 2010 ; twice 40km and twice 80km all in a row. I love you, Sylva. i love you. i trust you. i know we can make it to the finishing line in Ar-Raudhah this weekend. INSYA ALLAH...
