2011 planning

its end of the year! so the east coast-ers are having monsoon, and a whole day without water falling from the sky is a bonus! especially for us, me & asben = horse riders.
because, we can ride twice on that bright day. yeay!
owhh...how i wish we have indoor arena, so that we can still work the horse even raining.

usually, if it is not a-whole rain day, it will be either dawn to morning or evening till midnight rain.
so, if the rain fells in the morning, we ride in the evening and opposite so.

if the day is bright, we ride twice. we have to take as much opportunities as we can, since 2011 is juat around the corner. and I am going to rebuild my career in endurance riding, starting from the very first month in the new year!! cheer up!

and 2011 also promise a great event for ladies rider in Malaysia. by the end of the year, there will be Ladies Challenge which consist of 80 & 120km ride.

according to the EAM Events Calendar 2011, 28th January will be the season opening endurance ride! held in Terengganu. and I will work my gut out to make sure I participate in that ride and slowly moving forward and upward to place myself qualify for the Ladies Challenge. which requires me to participate & complete 2x 40km, and 2x 80km. with the almost-monthly endurance will be held, I promise I will. I hope and I pray that Allah will ease things for me. I really want to be back in the sports again....Insya ALLAH.

pray for me too. will ya?it might be my biggest achievements in life. :)

as for my asben, he is looking forward to place himself in the list for representing Malaysia, once again for the race in Florac, France in September. its the European challenge, I think. (entah la, lupa plak). and to be able to do so, he must complete a 160km ride, with competitive speed. and the nearest 160km event will be in March.

sounds like a busy year awaits us right? and again, another not a-baby-year. hah hah! shhhh..keep silence. what to do. i wish to achieve smaller victory first(in horse field), than the biggest one(having kids?!). which also gonna cost me my life. heeeuuuu. creepy. (<- ini tindakan tidak bermoral yang selalu saya terbuat ; menakutkan diri sendiri. plis don't try this at home)

wish us luck.
eh look, its 5pm already!. oh no! i'm gonna be late for riding session. oh today, is morning rain day. till next en3, bye bye nobody.

Good Rider vs Good Driver.

A rider, is basically a person who ride horses.

A driver, is a person who drive vehicles.

There are few things in common about these two.

  • We sit on a moving thing. Whether it is four-legged or four-wheeled.
  • Take control. Stay focus but in the same time, enjoy the ride.
  • You need to take special courses/workshop to know how to drive/ride them. You don’t just know how to.
  • We just not ride them, we actually need to take care of them; bath them, feed/fuel them, keep their legs/tires out of holes, rock, nails etc..
  • The higher price you bought them, the higher cost of maintenance it will take.
  • We love them more when we ride/drive them. Trust me on this one. Especially if the perform as you pleased.
  • Both driving and riding field have competitions, which need synchronization between Horse & Rider, Cars & Driver. Naah, cars doesn’t need to be suited

And few major difference ;

  • Riders need to be gentle. Horses does have feelings, but cars don’t. Except cute little blue Volkswagen Herbie 69.
  • Riders also need to know the right working time & length for horses. Cars are basically engine operated but a horse is obviously living creatures. Not a machine.
  • If a car’s tires punctured, it can be replaced. But for horse; No legs, No horse.
  • Cars go right when you bring the steering right. Sometimes, horses have their own choices of path to go. And they never tell you until it’s to late.

People say, if we want to be a good driver/rider we need to assure that we can handle various type of vehicles and horses. Since my first riding lesson back in 2005, I think I have been ridden many-many kind of horses and they all varies in size & most importantly different temperament. Size doesn’t matter, right?. From local ponies to imported ponies, from anglo-arabian & Arabian, Thoroughbred ; from many-many athletics history like Polo and X-races. and I rode them for many-many purposes, dressage, jumping, bare-back racing, bare-back horseball, a little bit of Polo trial, and last but not least, my favorite discipline ; endurance.

The thing is, I almost fell off a horse this evening!! She rears many times and I went total pale and after a few attempts bringing her to the gate, I gave up and dismounted.

I feel less confidence and helpless. It had been 3 months since my outdoor riding. So, I’m losing my confidence again.

Am I not a good rider yet?

Maybe.

Good rider is not achieved when you can stay on horse back while galloping along the beachside or when you ride large horses, with your small size. And also doesn’t matter you ride for how long daily, or you a beginner with a gut, doing advanced rider stuff and etc…

It takes forever to be a good rider. And the accreditation is from others. No one should claim themselves good.

Even psycho-path doesn’t admit they are mentally unstable.

birthday & anniversary

cantik kan? sila cakap ya. kalau awak cakap tidak pun tak apa. saya tak dengar.

*2 lapis

sila telengkan kepala. lupa nak rotate.

georgeus orange+black creatures!

see the label? Women Progrid Razor. but i bought it from a man.

this is what i got from my asben on my birthday & our anniversary.
it really MEANS a lot to me.
not only because it is a gift, from my asben, but because it is an off-road / cycling running shoes.
i think my asben want me to lose some kg's...maybe?
hurmmm....is it possible?
is it why he bought me this quite-expensive shoes?

but other than that,

this shoes is to die for. it suit all my adventure activities!
  • Firstly ; Running or should I say..Jogging. he he.macam fit jer bunyi nye "running" kan. pirahh. and to add more chemistry, this is designed for off-road running. doesn't claim myself as an off-road runner pun. but staying here, at the stables, surrounded by paddy fields, do you think I have the choice to run on that rubber fleet usually found in sports centre?(*i forgot what we call it.) or on the nicely arranged mosaic like in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa with distance mark? no. where i ride, there i run. along the tali air and sawah padi dan tanaman tembikai, honey dew, dan cili kiri kanan jalan. harvesting season kami dapat beli dengan harga damn! murah. seronok. seronok. isi tembikai & honey dew penuh2 boot kereta, pastu bayar sepuluh hinggit je. chill...
  • membebel tah kemana-mana plak makcik ni. ok. ok. secondly ; Cycling. back home i own a mountain bike. here, there are two bikes provided for workers to simplify their tasks like, leading the horse back and forth to the far-far away paddock every day. when they are not using, we take the bike and cycle keliling kampung. sometimes carrying our fishing-rod too. and when passing through fish pond owned by the villager, and the owner is there, we asked permission for fishing. usually they breed ikan keli, ikan patin & ikan talapia. and i am very skillful in collecting the baits. i mean, catching grasshoppers as baits.
  • third and the very important reason is ; Horse Riding. it is purely comfortable ankle-high sport shoes where I can tuck in my jodhpurs and create a stylish-riding-look. ha. ha. perasan tak hengat...ok. its actually more to protecting my ankle in a softer material than the usual riding boot do. enough saying. buy it and experience it yourself, then you will know what i am talking about.
  • last but not least, its a stylo-georgeus-chic-cute-sophisticated-adventure-tough looking shoes. and one more important thing ; it is not for malaysian market. ha ha. do you hear that? not available anywhere in Malaysia. except if special ordering is made. and i am lucky to get this, the purchase was'nt planned. we went to the pro-bike center in town, to accompany a friend buying Salomon shoes. another adventure-trusted brand other than regular sports brand like Adidas, Reebok, Nike, Puma etc. a box with United States courier services tape all over-it contain this shoes. and my hubby spotted it. and he asked me to try it on while he negotiating the price with the seller. i heard their conversation, the seller was telling my husband he ordered this pair from U.S just one and only for personal use.(he's entering an Ironman competition a week after) well, originally it is...but after seeing me cheering up in that shoes, he gave up and sell his pair to us. kinda cruel. isn't it?but our cruelty shot a hole his pocket and make the seller smile while shook his head.
p/s : the seller a.k.a Ironman a.k.a the shop owner is a He. and I am wearing His size. how come?this man, i tell you really have odd appetite in shoes. it is obvious that the shoe is made for woman. or maybe he could'nt fit in any men shoes in U.S sizing chart? yeah.maybe...

it's all my story.till then, just sit back and relax ya!
